About RIPA

RIPA (Reinforce Intellectual Property Association) is a dedicated not-for-profit organization focused on the promotion and advancement of indigenous Intellectual Property (IP) in India, with outreach that extends to the international stage. Our mission centers on addressing both current and future needs for the growth and development of indigenous IP, actively supporting the country’s unique innovation landscape through local research and development initiatives. RIPA’s commitment to the IP community spans every stage of the IP lifecycle—from idea generation to the successful commercialization of inventions.

Established in 2012, RIPA began with a strong focus on raising awareness of IP rights and building capacity for indigenous IP knowledge. We recognized early on the importance of IP as a national asset and the need for a structured approach to help innovators, artisans, and businesses navigate the IP landscape. Over the years, RIPA has developed a comprehensive model that brings together education, training, and resource sharing, aiming to foster IP awareness and competency at every level. Our work is built around core pillars: generation, protection, enforcement, monetization, and the development of a strong IP ecosystem.

Our approach to promoting indigenous IP goes beyond traditional models. We collaborate with educational institutions, industry bodies, and government agencies to ensure a well-rounded perspective on IP management, guiding stakeholders through each aspect of IP development and use. We are dedicated to uplifting native talent and enhancing India’s capacity to participate meaningfully in the global innovation economy, while building a solid foundation for a self-sustaining IP ecosystem in India.

Vision

RIPA’s vision is to lead the transformation of India’s indigenous innovation ecosystem and become a globally respected institution recognized for practical, impactful IP education and promotion. RIPA is dedicated to strengthening and advancing the Indian IP landscape by supporting universities, government R&D institutions, schools, SMEs, and uplifting indigenous talent, including the Indian Geographical Indications (GI) sector and its skilled artisans.

Mission

RIPA is dedicated to transforming the landscape of indigenous innovation in India by motivating, educating, and equipping creators with essential skills, training, technology, and resources. Our mission is to enable innovators from rural to urban settings to unlock and realize the full value of their ideas. We empower researchers, inventors, and artisans through rich, accessible knowledge content, supporting their journey from creation to commercialization.

By establishing clear standards, RIPA aims to bring structure to India’s unorganized IP ecosystem, constantly refining and elevating it to meet global benchmarks. As a catalyst for change, RIPA aspires to become a defining force in the IP industry, setting new standards that will position India as a leader in the field of intellectual property.
