One of the key stages of innovation is monetization. However, many a times we fail to convert this intangible asset into a tangible asset. This failure is due to many reasons, but a very common reason is lack of understanding and awareness of basic flow of course of innovation. There is a misconception that holding a patent right would translate into cash flow. Until the owner of the patent takes additional efforts to monetize those rights, a patent cannot be translated into an asset. Though we are aware about the issue, but we are not aware about the process of monetization to make a sizable profit.

The proposed session, “An Anatomy of Patent Monetization Strategy”, will unveil certain key steps and insight about the monetization process. We aim to discuss about various strategies that can be followed during initiation till deal making process.
