Joha is a traditional aromatic Sali rice from Assam, cultivated for centuries. Known for its short to medium grains and distinct aroma, it differs from Basmati in grain properties and growth habits. Despite low yields (under one tonne/hectare), Joha remains culturally significant due to its unique aroma and traditional cultivation.
