Amravati Chana, also known as gram or chickpea, is a pulse crop cultivated in the saline tracts of Amravati district, Maharashtra. Recognized for its large seed size (5-7 mm), earthy flavour, and high protein content, it is a staple in Indian diets. The crop is vital for farmers in the region, espe cially as a Rabi source of income under limited irrigation.
