Jalgaon Bharit Brinjal is a traditional brinjal variety cultivated for over five centuries in the fertile, irrigated lands of Khandesh, Maharashtra. Known for its pale green skin with white stripes, large size, and soft texture, it is specifically grown for preparing the iconic dish “Khandeshi Bharit.” The variety is preserved by local farmers and celebrated for its roasting quality and oil-rich pulp.
